Anthony Pinkerton

  • Philadelphia (in person/remote)

  • Specialty: Your voice as a spiritual practice. Anyone who wishes to fully embody their voice. Whether you are a singer, a public speaker, a poet, or neither, my hope is to help you cultivate a practice of awareness in your voice use, so you may feel home in your body, free in your mind, and confident in your voice.

Anthony has a unique background in YogaVoice, as he was a voice student of Mark Moliterno during his undergraduate studies. He entered college without ever having a voice lesson, but he loved yoga, and loved singing, so working with Mark was a perfect fit. Shortly after his four years of learning how the principles of YogaVoice apply to his own practice of singing, Anthony enrolled in YogaVoice teacher training so that he could learn how to share this transformative practice with all people, whether they identify as a singer or not. A nomad at heart, once he graduated college, he booked a one way ticket to Guatemala to complete a 200hr yoga teacher training program. He remained there for several months deepening his practice, teaching yoga, and continuing to study YogaVoice. Upon his return to America, he joined the voice staff of Seattle Voice Lab where he offers voice therapy for transgender people. Anthony holds degrees in Voice Performance and Music Education from Westminster Choir College, a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training from Sacred Paths Yoga School, and is a Certified YogaVoice Teacher L1.
