"YogaVoice® is a Self-Realization technology, developed to enable, encourage, and inspire authenticity in human expression. Through education, coaching, and mentoring, we endeavor to integrate the whole person in the act of truthful communication, whether that person is an artist working in her/his medium, or someone simply navigating the demands of daily life. Our mission is to make a positive contribution to the quality of life in our culture."

YogaVoice® explores the eight-fold path of Classical Yoga and its application to the lives and work of performing artists, voice professionals, and people who are interested in improving their communication skills and connecting to their innate creativity. YogaVoice training endeavors to uncover and develop the Self-awareness that leads to personal authenticity and creative Self-expression. In some cases, YogaVoice practitioners have experienced their authentic voices for the very first time.

YogaVoice uses the technology of Classical Yoga to address and work with the individual as a whole being.
  • Stress-reducing practices (yama, niyama) provide a psychological framework for a balanced and expressive lifestyle.
  • Physical postures (asana) assess and remove blockages from the physical instrument.
  • Breathing practices (pranayama) build pulmonary function, breath management for singing, and mental stability/focus.
  • Concentration and meditation (pratyahara, dharana, dhyana) identify deeper levels of personal Truth as a foundation for unitive expression (samadhi).
  • Karma Yoga offers insight into personal purpose (dharma) and the nature and quality of work.
  • Sound, toning, and chanting practices develop energetic balance for authentic communication.

Because YogaVoice is not a vocal technique, but an organic way of working with an individual to bring balance and integrity to both the physical instrument and the creative Self and, it can compliment any vocal method.

YogaVoice was founded and developed by Mark Moliterno over many years of Yoga study, practice, and exploration in the context of his life as a professional singer, voice instructor, and yoga teacher. YogaVoice  is taught in individual sessions, group seminars and intensives. Typically, the client is directed in a self-evaluation process to identify areas of blockage in the physical instrument. When it is appropriate, a personalized yoga program can be developed to address the client’s specific needs. Information gleaned in the yoga practice is subsequently applied directly to voice and communication work. YogaVoice sessions and workshops are recommended for anyone interested in the body/mind connection and how it relates to creativity in the performing arts and in every day life.
